Panasonic, the parent company of Technics has announced that they will cease production on the "industry standard" Technics 1200 & 1210 turntables due to low sales. I think that this is a great lost to the "DJ" industry! DJing, to me, has become almost a joke now that any douche bag can download some mixing software on their laptop and call themselves a DJ (ie: Lindsey Lohan). I've seen some of these "digital DJs" live in action and I can tell you that their performances of "fist-pumping" while staring at their laptops is a fuckin joke.
